I have
been photographing
my children
since
they were
babies.
I decided
to focus
on the
quirkier
moments,
the moments
that give
the viewer
an insight
to the
child's
emotion.
I am the
third
in line
of six
children
spaced
about
a year
apart.
We were
usually
grouped
together
as "the
Depreys",
we never
seemed
to have
individual
identities.
I was
constantly
looking
to our
family
photo
albums
to figure
out who
I was.
My parents
stopped
taking
photos
on a regular
basis
by the
time I
showed
up so
I was
never
satisfied
with the
amount
or depth
of pictures
of myself.
When
I started
my family
I made
2 promises
to myself:
one; never
have more
than 3
children
and two;
document
each child
in a way
that would
help them
to understand
what they
were truly
like as
young
children.
These
photos
are for
my children
to look
to when
they are
reminiscing
about
there
childhood
and trying
to figure
out what
they were
like when
they were
young.
I am sharing
these
images
on the
world
wide web
with their
permission.
