During a workshop I took with Mary Ellen Mark at Manie Photo Workshops we were told to do a week long project on whatever frightened us the most. My grandfather had Alzheimers at the time, so there was no question as to what I would be doing my project on. I chose a home in Unity, Maine that was small and run by a young couple. Everyone was very kind, and I learned how to sit in a room with my biggest fear.
